Students: Earn a Scholarhip!by Lauren Bailey
Did you know students make up nearly 25 percent of our area blood supply? But when students are out of school, that supply drops. That's why CBCC has the Students Saving Summer Scholarship Program. In four easy steps, you can be a community advocate for blood donation, win scholarship money, and save our summer!
- Choose a blood drive location in your community (School Facility, House of Faith, CBCC bloodmobile, workplace, etc.)
- Select a date and time between the months of June and September
- Recruit friends, family members and neighbors to donate
- Collect a minimum of 25 units at each drive you hold.
Scholarships will be awarded to the students that hold the top five producing blood drives. Each winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship made payable directly to the college, university or other learning establishment of their choice.
