Helping Hands Healby Lauren Bailey
Thank you to Baxter Village and Cookies for Kids’ Cancer for teaming up with CBCC to host the Helping Hands of Baxter Village Blood Drive April 12. This unique blood drive was in honor and memory of 10 local children who are battling or have battled cancer – and the response was enormous! Thanks to kind-hearted donors, we were able to touch the lives up to 180 local patients and celebrate while doing it!
The children being honored were: Emma Rose Poplin-Revels, Daniel Kauffman, Carson Caskey, Libby Kern, Justine Seibel, and Calbin Bradley. Those being remembered were: Asa Jay Allen, Jenna Witherspoon, Noah Mayberry and Harlan Sullins.
"This is a poignant example of both the need for blood and the power of community for patients in need," said CBCC's president and CEO, Martin Grable. "When blood transfusion is required for local children, it is our local donors who are making a difference."
Thank you all for making a difference in so many lives! #HelpingHandsHeal
