Prayers For Elijah Foundation Blood Driveby CBCC
The Prayers For Elijah Blood Drive will be held in memory of Elijah Aschbrenner and to commemorate Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September. Elijah was diagnosed with Epithelioid Sarcoma – a rare type of cancer – in 2013. The only child to ever have it in his neck, Elijah endured multiple surgeries, 60 rounds of radiation and various chemotherapies to treat his cancer. After being declared cancer free for three short months, Elijah created the Prayers For Elijah Foundation himself to support other families in their battles with childhood cancer. Unfortunately, Elijah’s cancer returned and he passed away just before his 11th birthday in November 2015.
Since then, the Prayers For Elijah Foundation expanded its focus to include support for additional research into childhood causes and treatments.
Please give blood in Elijah's memory during our Prayers For Elijah Foundation Blood Drive on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017. The drive will be held from 3-6:30 in the Cox Mill Elementary School gym, 1450 Cox Mill Road, Concord, NC.
